We’ll post the best Love Stories at radiantcircus.com

COMPETITION 2 // TRIBES & EVENTS

The next round of our SUPPORT #LDNindieFILM competition gives you the chance to win a year’s free membership to RADIANT CIRCUS’ unique event listings subscription service (est. value £40). Your prize will begin when shutdown ends and we can start listing again!

All you have to do is write/draw/sing about your favourite experiences on the London independent film scene and submit by the deadline for a chance to win. Terms & conditions apply.*

This competition takes place in two parts.

>> TO ENTER: Submit your #LDNindieFILM Love Story using THIS FORM by the deadline. The Love Story that makes us swoon the most, wins! Terms & conditions apply.*

>> PART 1: Tell us about your favourite London indie film TRIBE (film festival, film club, volunteer team, meet up group). We want to know why you love it, what makes you feel at home there, and what you’re looking forward to most about rejoining your tribe when lockdown is lifted. Submit by 23:59 26 APR 2020 for a chance to win.

>> PART 2: Tell us about a London indie film EVENT that seriously blew your mind. Was it the rockstar intro by the promoter, the stunning original format presentation, a chance to see a rare or much-loved title, or the talent that turned up for a Q&A? Submit by 23:59 03 MAY 2020 for a chance to win.

Everybody wins!** We’ll post as many Love Stories as we can at radiantcircus.com. If we get enough great content, we want to publish the best bits in a Love #LDNindieFILM Zine as a permanent reminder of how we all got together to celebrate London’s alternative cinemas. Everyone who submits a #LDNindieFILM Love Story that complies with our submission guidelines will get a free copy of the zine (if you want one!).

TERMS & CONDITIONS //

*The rules are simple! Send us your #LDNindieFILM Love Story on the requested theme by the stated deadline. All submissions must comply with our T&Cs on the submission form & you must follow us @radiantcircus (we will check ;-). One submission per reader per theme. Open to existing subscribers (let’s talk!). We decide which Love Story makes us swoon the most. We award one prize in each round. Our decisions are final. No cash alternatives. No arguing. Prizes must be claimed within 24hrs. We will need the winner’s email address to begin your membership. Competition can be withdrawn at any time at our discretion. Winner will receive email listings only (excluding other membership benefits). Prize benefits can be withdrawn at any time at our discretion.

**Your submission must be about a London film tribe or an event. Don’t just send us any old article you’ve had sitting around about your favourite film/star/DVD collection… We are under no obligation to publish.

And that’s the meat of it…

Show your support for London’s alternative film scene by submitting your own #LDNindieFILM Love Story.

FEATURED IMAGE:

The original trilogy release of George Lucas’ STAR WARS saga represents both the first series of film events that blew my mind and the first film tribe that I knew I had to belong to. Dog-eared copies of the Star Wars Fan Club’s Bantha Tracks newsletter and now discarded badges remain some of my most treasured possessions.

You can read about the origins of my lifelong love affair with cinema here and about my more recent encounters in the dark here. What Film Tribes and Events have you discovered on London’s independent cinema scene?

Richard (Barker-In-Chief).
