BONNIE AND CLYDE Immersive 60s Event at The Prince Charles (18 JUN 20:30):

  • UCL History’s Remembering 1960s British Cinema-going project presents an immersive 1960s cinema-going experience with a screening of BONNIE AND CLYDE (1967). A stylish but controversial mix of romance, crime and violence (advertised as “They’re young. They’re in love. They kill people!”), this landmark film starred Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway and influenced both sixties fashion and music.

THE HANDMAID’S TALE + TALK: Make Atwood Fiction Again by Dr Caroline Edwards at The Institute Of Light (18 JUN 19:10 – Sold Out!):

  • Science Fiction Theatre presents: The USA has become The Republic of Gilead, a right-wing totalitarian state. Women are subjugated and powerless in society. The world is rife with disease and infection, and few women remain who can have children: those who can are taken by the government and christened ‘handmaids’.

IT 35mm + LIVE ACCOMPANIMENT by Wendy Hiscocks at BFI Southbank (18 JUN 20:45):

  • Betty Lou (Bow) is a working-class shopgirl with a crush on the owner (Moreno) of the department store where she works.
