Find films in London this month by: SEASONS // FESTIVALS

Welcome to our SEPTEMBER roundup.

Each month we look ahead to London’s MUSEUM SHOWS where you can find several attractions under one roof. Our listings are divided into repertory seasons and film festivals. We’ll keep you updated on all London’s one-off screenings including film clubs, meet the talent Q&As and other special events in our weekly digests and daily updates.

After a quiet summer – with several of our favourite venues taking well-earned August breaks – September sees things shifting back into top gear. Exciting new seasons include BLACK AND BANNED at BFI, STOLEN SUMMERS at various venues and a clutch of excellent auteur overviews including OLIVIER ASSAYAS at Deptford Cinema, AGNÈS VARDA at Ciné Lumière, ÉRIC ROHMER, KIJU YOSHIDA and PETER WATKINS all at Close-Up. Festivals are also starting to pitch their tents… Our pick of the bunch would be the always outstanding Open City Documentary Festival, Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival and the Japanese Avant-garde and Experimental Film Festival. Towards the end of the month Raindance returns to take us ever onwards.

> What are you going to see?
