Classic Cinema Club – Ealing has announced a new season of “films that refuse to tell the story straight, with non-linear narratives, scenes out of sequence, and jumps in time.” These are movies where “memories can falter, and perspectives will vary, making for riveting storytelling.” The season includes acclaimed art films and rip-roaring genre pictures from several of the most significant figures in film history.

If you haven’t visited Classic Cinema Club before, we can wholeheartedly recommend the journey. The last time RADIANT CIRCUS visited was for a riotous screening of SANJURO (12 OCT 2018) as part of their LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! season. You can read our writeup HERE. If you haven’t seen the film before, SANJURO screens from 35mm at The Prince Charles (23 MAR 14:55) as part of their AKIRA KUROSAWA SELECTROSPECTIVE (listed in our MAR 2019 roundup).

FLASHBACKS season is presented by Classic Cinema Club – Ealing at Ealing Town Hall (01 MAR to 26 APR). Everything starts at 19:30. Tickets are £7/£6 concs. You can also become a member.

CLASSIC CINEMA CLUB – EALING

EALING TOWN HALL

The wonderfully welcoming Classic Cinema Club – Ealing has been showing a film every Friday at 19:30 in the historic Ealing Town Hall since 2011. A short intro from one of the club members sets up a knowledgeable and lively discussion after each film. Light refreshments are served (and you are welcome to bring your own). The venue is fully accessible for those with disabilities. We love going there and know you will too. And yes, it does initially feel like you’re going to the movies at Hogwarts when you first rock up…
