THE BALLY #95: What to see in London this week (shutdown 2.0 edition)
With cinemas going dark again, we have no choice but to suspend regular screen listings at RADIANT CIRCUS. We’ll be using this time to support London’s indie film exhibitors. We’ll also be rebuilding our site & planning for a long future of listing. Stay tuned to THE BALLY for regular news & updates.

We’ve re-posted our regularly updated A to Z of London’s indie cinemas & screen venues.
As well as reopening dates, we’re tracking all the ways audiences can support venues remotely through their crowdfunding campaigns, donations, annual memberships, gift vouchers & merchandise.
RADIANT CIRCUS will be posting a separate SCREEN GUIDE to streaming sites that give back to London’s indie screen venues very soon.
We’re also creating a separate directory of other indie film exhibitors including London’s local film clubs, lone wolf promoters & film festivals.
This launches a process of re-development at RADIANT CIRCUS we’re calling Revive The Dark. We’ll talk more about that in future editions.
Stay safe & see you in darkness soon.

RADIANT CIRCUS’ last journey into the darkness before shutdown was to see Pitshanger Picture’s epic Halloween projection of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1925) at St. Barnabas Church, Ealing (31 OCT 2020). With an improvised live organ score played by Henry Tozer, this was one of the most memorable film events of a remarkably strange screen year. Read all about it in our latest SCREEN DIARY.
