WATER MAKES US WET: AN ECOSEXUAL ADVENTURE d. Annie Sprinkle & Beth Stephens + Q&A with the filmmakers at The Horse Hospital (26 SEP 19:30).
“The Museum of Sex Objects is delighted to present a screening of two films by Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens. This is one of a series of events exploring sexual cultures programmed by The Museum of Sex Objects to coincide with their month-long exhibition at The Horse Hospital this autumn.”
“We are honoured to present a screening of Sprinkle and Stephens’s documentary film, Water Makes us Wet: An Ecosexual Adventure. We will also be screening The One Minutes Series’ Imagine The Earth Is Your Love, a compilation of 23 one-minute shorts curated by Annie and Beth. The screenings will be followed by a live virtual Q&A with directors Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens.”
“Annie Sprinkle was a long-time sex worker who was a pivotal player in the 1980’s sex-positive feminist movement. Beth Stephen’s early work explored lesbian and queer culture. After they got together, they married the Earth in a public ceremony in 2008 and came out as ecosexual. They created an Ecosex Manifesto, which launched an international ‘ecosex movement.'”
