THE FLYING FOOL 35mm d. Walter Summers, 1931 in association with Historic Croydon Airport Trust at The David Lean Cinema (29 APR 14:00).
“To celebrate the 95th anniversary of the opening of the Croydon Airport terminal, we are screening this comedy drama, based on a popular West End play featuring location scenes shot there. Pilot and secret agent Vincent Floyd infiltrates a gang of criminal jewel smugglers led by Michael Marlowe, aided by Marion Lee, one of Marlowe’s employees. The plot takes them from England to Paris and back, with lots of mid-air action. With a introduction on the film and its links to the Airport from Dr Mara Arts. A This is Croydon 35mm presentation in association with Historic Croydon Airport Trust.” (The David Lean Cinema)
