APRIL 2021: What’s on in London this month – outdoor event seasons

At long last, we can resume our regular epic roundups of repertory film seasons & film festivals showing across London… starting with outdoor event seasons! Expect updates as we discover more…

By RADIANT CIRCUS // Twitter @radiantcircus / Instagram @radiantcircus

London’s outdoor cinema venues have resumed screenings from 12 April and we’ve taken a look at their COVID-safe programmes. There’s normally quite a lot of NOTTING HILL, DIRTY DANCING and GREATEST SHOWMAN in some of these lineups, so we’ve picked notable events we’d most want to be at (check venues and promoters for full listings).

Expect updates to this post as we discover more outdoor seasons opening up across London. We’ll also get cracking on next month’s edition soon in anticipation of indoor events reopening from 17 May. One-off screen events are always listed in our weekly SCREEN GUIDE which we hope to resume posting next week (including on- & off-line events for the foreseeable future).

If you’d like to back our fund-raising campaign to support adventurous film screenings across London, please consider buying a copy of our SCREEN DIARIES or start a monthly subscription at Patreon: your support will help struggling indie exhibitors #ReviveTheDark. Subscribers get sent all our listings as soon as they are posted, so you’ll always be in the loop. Check out our subscription rewards at patreon.com/radiantcircus.

See you in darkness again soon,
