Queer Horror Nights presents POSSESSOR at The Castle Cinema (19 AUG 2022).
Queer Horror Nights presents part 2 of DADDY ISSUES?, our trans-morphing double dose of sci-fi body horror from the biological father & son of the sub-genre. Next up: Brandon Cronenberg’s POSSESSOR (2020). Part of SUMMER OF SCI-FI at The Castle Cinema.

- Queer Horror Nights: POSSESSOR d. Brandon Cronenberg, 2020 + Intro + Bar Social
- Friday 19 AUGUST 2022 // 19:00-21:00 // The Castle Cinema // London E9 6DA
- Tickets: £5.00-11.00 // BOOKING NOW!
First there was David Cronenberg’s THE FLY (24 June at The Castle Cinema). Now there’s Brandon Cronenberg’s POSSESSOR…
Cronenberg Jnr. invested heavily in the family farm with his sensational sophomore feature. A gob-smacking slice of sci-fi mayhem, POSSESSOR (2020) is about an assassin (Andrea Riseborough) whose consciousness can be transplanted into, and take control of, someone close to her next target.
Inevitable glitches in the system result in catastrophic side-effects for both the parasite and her latest host (Christopher Abbott). POSSESSOR uses practical, gender-switching gore effects to amplify its hallucinatory violence to the ultimate extreme (you have been warned…).
POSSESSOR will be presented with an introduction by your horror host, TOKEN HOMO, and you’re invited to linger in the venue bar afterwards for a social.
- Director: Brandon Cronenberg
- Starring: Andrea Riseborough, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Christopher Abbott, Sean Bean
