NOW BOOKING: Rooftop Film Club returns to the skyline

We’ve only just listed their drive-in adventures, but Rooftop Film Club has also announced their return to the city skyline with the reopening of two venues: Roof East in Stratford (from 18 MAY) & the Bussey Building in Peckham (from 21 MAY).

Rooftop Film Club, the global outdoor cinema operators, are celebrating a decade of open sky screenings with a reopening season of two rooftop venues. And they are clearly in the mood for some kind of release:

“Swap the Zoom grid for a giant screen, the sofa for a deck chair, the contents of your fridge for mouth-watering stone-baked pizza, the park bench tinnies for ice cold craft cocktails and climb five storeys to movie magic on a rooftop.”

ROOFTOP FILM CLUB

With the promise of ten parties to celebrate their ten years (how very regal…), the main addition to the familiar routine is the invention of Member Mondays which will be coming to their Peckham venue in June.

All seating is unreserved, so make sure you book ahead and get there early. Both venues use wireless headphones which should be collected at the box office on arrival (along with blankets, this is England after all…). Film times vary according to the sunset but are scheduled from 20:45 in this opening season and get later as the summer hots up. Tickets cost from £15.95 for a single deckchair (you can upgrade to a double deckchair if you have someone to snuggle up with). There are also bottomless popcorn options, food and other refreshments are sold on site.

Roof East returns with the following lineup: THE GREAT GATSBY (18 MAY): BILLIE EILISH: THE WORLD’S A LITTLE BLURRY (19 MAY); THE BREAKFAST CLUB (20 MAY); NOTTING HILL (21 MAY); FIGHT CLUB (22 MAY); and, THE PRINCESS BRIDE (23 MAY).

Bussey Building reopens with the following: SOUND OF METAL (21 MAY – main featured image); PRETTY WOMAN (22 MAY); SOUND OF METAL (23 MAY); DIRTY DANCING (25 MAY); BRIDESMAIDS (26 MAY); and, PULP FICTION (27 MAY).

Films are currently booking at Rooftop Film Club through to 13 June 2021. Expect that to be significantly extended as the summer gets underway!
