Sine Screen presents Vulnerable Histories, an on-going series of special screenings and events that will explore the representation of historical trauma in East & Southeast Asia.
Featuring artists and filmmakers whose work set out to reconstruct, reimagine and reinterpret historical events, from the colonial history in the Philippines, the cultural revolution in China, aftermath of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, to the White Terror period in Taiwan.
The first programme will include feature-length and short experImental works from Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, China and Hong Kong.
