1. SEND US YOUR SCREEN NEWS

We’re always expanding the editorial content at RADIANT CIRCUS, improving coverage of London’s one-off screen events, festivals & repertory seasons as well as celebrating alternative screen culture in all its forms.

Our main job is to write for audiences (rather than the screen industries), but with that in mind, we’d love to get your news & announcements about:

  • new film programmes (seasons, festivals, special events etc)
  • new publications (e.g. ‘zines, books or podcasts that celebrate alternative screen culture in London)
  • special achievements (won an award recently? Let us know! We want to celebrate too…)
  • social concerns (started a kickstarter? raising money for good causes? launched a new project?)

Include all the necessary details & some quotes about why your news is so exciting. We love using high quality images for our featured attractions, so attach those too (all images should be .jpg format and in 16:9 ratio (sized 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720 pixels – send credits & links if the images aren’t your own).

As you’d expect, all editorial decisions remain ours but if you experience any problems, don’t hesitate to get in touch (we’re very nice…).

Send your news & press releases in an email!

2. SUBMIT AN EVENT

If you’ve got a one-off screen event you’d like us to know and shout about, please submit it for inclusion in our listings. We blog every Thursday which is when we would normally compile all our screen guides and so forth. But things aren’t usual in the time of COVID-19, so we’re getting the word out there in any way we can.

Use this handy form to submit your event!

Got more than one event? The easiest way to tell us about a festival or season programme is simply to send us an email. We tell you the things we like to know about HERE (but it’s always handy to have scrolled through our other listings to see how we do things beforehand).

Submit your season & festival listings in an email!

3. INVITE US TO YOUR EVENT

We like to get out there and see as many events as we can. And exhibitors have found it handy to have our writeups online when planning their next event (e.g. when negotiating with rights holders). We post about all the amazing things we’ve see in our SCREEN DIARY.

We specialise in writing about screen events with added value special features such as Q&As, panels, double bills & dance-offs (well, we haven’t been to too many of the latter, but we’d like to!). We don’t write previews or reviews of films per se as we’re more interested in the screen culture that wraps around them (i.e. how they’re shown, seen, celebrated & discussed). We also try to avoid writing anything overly negative. If an event hasn’t worked for us, we normally just move right along… If there have genuinely been some highs and lows, we tend to go for the classic ‘shit sandwich’ approach to balancing out the bad news… What we’re trying to say is that we’re on your side!

Invite us to your event with an email!

4. SUBMIT A PROFILE

We’re compiling what we hope will be London’s most comprehensive SCENE DIRECTORY about its alternative cinema attractions. And we’re giving everyone who exhibits regularly in Greater London a FREE directory page to promote your services to a general audience. The directory is currently broken down into VENUESEXHIBITORS & FESTIVALS (we’re contemplating an ‘other’ category for everyone who feels they don’t fit – let us know!). We’ll update the directory annually & it’s easy to make changes if you’d like an update.

Use this handy form to submit your profile.

And that’s the meat of it… We will be announcing our new sponsorship scheme for indie screen events in 2021. Register for our newsletter to stay looped on all the latest news HERE.
