There’ll be more to do as we get back into the routine of listing London’s indie cinema events, but right now we’re grabbing and sharing reopening news as soon as we can lay our quivering hands on it.
Genesis Cinema will start projecting again with a great lineup of some new releases and a truly special event in the form of a preview of Billie Piper’s RARE BEASTS (2021) featuring a Q&A with the writer/director/actor talking to Mia Bays. The event is presented in collaboration with the excellent #ReclaimTheFrame initiative from Birds’ Eye View (20 MAY 18:35 – main featured image & booked!).
The A-Z of the Genesis reopening programme looks like this (check venue for all dates & details): JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH d. Shaka King, 2020 (17 to 23 MAY); MINARI d. Lee Isaac Chung, 2020 (17 to 23 MAY); NOMADLAND d. Chloé Zhao, 2020 (17 to 23 MAY); SOUND OF METAL d. Darius Marder, 2019 (17 to 23 MAY); SPIRAL d. Darren Lynn Bousman, 2020 (17 to 23 MAY); THOSE WHO WISH ME DEAD d. Taylor Sheridan, 2020 (17 to 23 MAY); and, WONDER WOMAN 1984 d. Patty Jenkins, 2020 (22 & 23 MAY).
For the completists amongst you, there’s also the TOM & JERRY movie and PETER RABBIT 2. Good luck!
