Ukraine Fundraiser: MY THOUGHTS ARE SILENT d. Antonio Lukich, 2019 presented by Jellied Reels at The Castle Cinema (14 APR 21:00).

“Vadim collects quacks, bleats, moos, snuffles, oinks, neighs, and a host of other noises from the frolicking fauna of southern Ukraine. Working for a western computer game company, he’s tasked with capturing the rare song of Rakhiv Mallard. His reward? A ticket out of Kyiv, and a dream job in Canada. The only thing in his way? His chain smoking, taxi-driving mother who’ll be his sole company to the prize duck’s nesting grounds.”

“This gentle and inventive debut from Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich won prizes at Karlovy Vary and the Odesa International Film Festival. The main feature will be introduced with a surprise short film.”

Jellied Reels will be donating ticket proceeds to WithUkraine. This screening is possible thanks to Reason8 Films and Takflix.

Book now for the next screening event supported by #ReviveTheDark, our audience-backed campaign for distinctive/DIY cinema! Sonic Cinema presents AUSTRIAN SYNAESTHETIC CINEMA at Cafe OTO (06 MAY 20:00).
