#QueerHorrorNights continue with David Cronenberg’s THE FLY (1986) at The Castle Cinema (Friday 24 JUNE 19:00): booking now!

NOSFERATU d. F.W. Murnau, 1922 + Live organ accompaniment by Jonathan Eyre + Live podcast recording, hosted by Evolution of Horror at Regent Street Cinema (21 JUN 20:15).

“NOSFERATU is F.W. Murnau’s striking and famously unauthorised 1922 screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s seminal vampire novel of 1897: Dracula. This iconic telling sees Max Schreck as Count Orlok, who leaves his native Transylvania to take up residence in a small German town, only to wreak havoc among the local population with violent and tragic consequences. This special silent film screening will be accompanied by Jonathan Eyre on Regent Street Cinema’s original Compton Organ.”

“NOSFERATU celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and to mark the momentous milestone the Evolution of Horror Presents and Regent Street Cinema are screening this still-fresh-and-chilling film followed by a panel discussion with live podcast recording with some expert guests including: Kim Newman (critic, broadcaster and author of the Anno Dracula novels); Pamela Hutchinson (critic, curator, film historian and editor of Silent London); and, James Swanton (actor, writer and vintage horror aficionado).”
