WunderKammer Live [17 SEP 2021]: Isra Al Kassi from T A P E Collective to talk about projecting the mixed heritage experience
Isra Al Kassi co-founder of T A P E Collective will talk about projecting the mixed heritage experience at BFI Southbank for their season/takeover BUT WHERE ARE YOU REALLY FROM?, & the power of sourcing previously unseen gems.
Isra is the co-founder of T A P E Collective which launched 6 years ago as a response to the lack of representation on screen and a desire to highlight the could be cult classics of the festival circuit.
Isra has a background in venue event management and cinema programming but now along with T A P E works with BIFA, Inclusive Cinema and Habibi Collective. With T A P E members Angela Moneka and Nellie Alston, T A P E runs Good Wickedry which is an online short film platform and are the LSFF Special Events and Industry Programme producers for 2021.
Most recently T A P E curated BUT WHERE ARE YOU REALLY FROM? as part of the BFI Southbank’s July programme and hosted a digital takeover. Isra will be talking about taking such a personal programme which explores the details of the mixed heritage experience and the power of sourcing previously unseen gems.
Isra will be speaking at WunderKammer Live, a new showcase & networking event for everyone who creates & cares about alternative screen culture in London.
