Talking about DIY/indie screen culture with Stuart Wright of Britflicks Podcast.

Ahead of this year’s Leytonstone Loves Film festival (15 to 19 SEP), RADIANT CIRCUS talked to Stuart Wright, host of Britflicks Podcast, about the joy of indie & alternative screen culture.

For his new Podcast Series about Leytonstone Loves Film 2021, screenwriter, Britflicks podcast host and Leyton resident of 20 years, Stuart Wright, has been speaking to the filmmakers, film organisations and others taking part in the free film festival.

Returning for a third year (15 to 19 SEP), Leytonstone Loves Film will be host to a variety of free events presented by local filmmakers and film organisations. Celebrating the area’s long history of screen culture, there’s something from everyone from free films, talks, installations, trails, and workshops, in outdoor and indoor venues along the Leytonstone High Road and across town.

Stuart has already undertaken a massive odyssey ahead of the festival, talking to more than 25 exhibitors behind the event to create 9 edited podcast episodes. Serving up a very special preview of everything that’s happening, the episodes are available now from all of your favourite podcast providers. A special 10th episode will be recorded after the event to look back on the festival and capture something of its flavour.

RADIANT CIRCUS was lucky enough to feature in the 8th episode alongside Liza Fletcher (E17 Films) and artist Esther Nelson, Isik Sayarer and Eva Knutsdotter (Fourthland). Here we are:
